FA4 Division
Definition: FA4, an abbreviation for Female Amateur 4, is an amateur competitive division commonly known as the Beginner Women's Division. FA4 is for female amateur players new to tournament competition. Women in this division are still developing the fundamental skills and confidence to compete successfully in organized disc golf. Competitors in FA4 are advised to focus on consistent throwing mechanics, improving basic putting technique, becoming familiar with disc selection, and developing an understanding of course management and tournament procedures. The division provides a supportive, low-pressure environment for newer players to experience the excitement of competitive play while building confidence, gaining tournament experience, and enjoying the social aspects of the sport. FA4 is the first step in the competitive development pathway, preparing players to progress into the Recreational Women's Division (FA3) as skills, consistency, and tournament experience improve.
